Our story - and why cakes?
OSLO RAW is all about bringing health into pleasure and celebrating life´s simple pleasures. We are Scandinavia´s leading and largest plant based café chain and wellness concept with cafes, bakery, podcasts, cookbooks and much more. We want to inspire you to enjoy life to the fullest and celebrate the little things in life, like eating cake for breakfast.
Tiril Refsum started OSLO RAW because she wanted to make it healthy to treat ourselves with mouthwatering plant based food that makes life more enjoyable. She wanted to bring dessert forward as a very important act of self-pleasure and nourishment. Enjoying good food is a very important part of our daily routine, both for our bodily functions, and our senses. She wanted to make healthy treats available for all people to easily indulge on the go. If she sneaked in a lot of proteins, healthy fats, minerals and vitamins into a cake, there will be no problem in staying healthy and happy!
Tiril started her own catering company called RawFoodOslo in 2016 and a few months later she expanded with her own Oslo Raw café and served cakes all over town. After one year in business she had over 17 employees and published her first bestselling cookbook, Rågodt. One year later she opened her second café at Frogner with her team, as well as publishing her second bestselling cookbook. Today, we are a team of 40 amazing people, running three cafes, still serving cakes all over town through our catering, events and cafés. She also hosts the The Oslo Raw podcast and Raw & Real.
We love seeing you sharing your Oslo Raw experiences, together we build our community and future. Self care and coffee dates with good friends are vital for a healthy balanced life and that’s why we keep expanding – with you.
